WILSON, John Archibald Fullarton (1900-1982)


John Archibald Fullarton Wilson was born on 19 April 1900, the son of Allan Fullarton Wilson and Margaret Jean nee Tuite.

He was enrolled at Geelong College in February 1911 as a day student and continued at the School to September 1917. His address was 98 Little Myers St, Geelong when he was enrolled.

During World War I, he was working as a bank clerk when he enlisted (No. 68882) as a Private in the AIF on 22 July 1918. He embarked for France on HMAT A36 Boonah on 22 October with the 15th (Victorian) Reinforcements.

After his return to Australia at war's end he continued working in the bank industry becoming a bank manager.

His father, Alan Fullarton Wilson (1857-1917), and brother, Allan Fullarton Wilson (1910-1975), were also educated at Geelong College.
