YELLAND, William Gleadow (1878-1913)


William Gleadow Yelland was born in January 1878, the son of George Yelland and Annie nee Davey. He was enrolled at Geelong College on 31 July 1890, his entry address listed as Fenwick St, Geelong. He is listed elsewhere with the name 'Gledon'.

He served (No 289) as a Bugler with the 4th Imperial Contingent in the Anglo-South African War.

His brother, Henry Charles Yelland (1876-1946) was also educated at Geelong College.
