LOWE, Adrian Maxwell (Max) (1924-2023)

Adrian Maxwell (Max) Lowe won a scholarship to the College and was enrolled from 1936 to 1941. He was a keen sportsman, playing cricket, tennis and football and went on to play football with the Geelong Amateurs, as captain and then coach. Following school Max enlisted in the RAAF, then went on to join the Ford Motor Company in 1946. He married Nancy and had 2 children, with his son, Peter (OGC 1967), also attending the College. After 43 years of service, he retired from Ford as Managing Director Ford Malaysia. In retirement, he was kept busy on the Board of the Geelong Football Club for 10 years being awarded life membership, playing golf, enjoying Probus and spending time with his family, grandchildren and the many lifelong friends he made at the College.
