GRAY, Marjorie Evelyn (1923-2023)

Evelyn Gray (nee Hair) worked at the College for 32 years including 14 years as the secretary to the Principal. She had been educated at Morongo Girls College, completing her Intermediate certificate in 1939. She was the youngest daughter of Frank Hill and Beatrice May Hair (nee Edmonds).

Evelyn started at the College in 1940 and was a dedicated member of the office staff. After 12 years she left for a working holiday overseas but re-joined in 1955. Evelyn farewelled the College at the end of 1974 and married Dr Franklin Gray, relocating to Maitland NSW.
