PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION


Ad Astra, in 1965, first mentions the current School parents’ organisation as having been formed in 1963. The small item said that ‘parents will soon produce their own newsletter, ‘The College Parent.’ In 1944, however, in an item about the Kindergarten, Pegasus notes that a Parents’ Association had been discussed on 28 March and an Association formed, which then met again on 18 April 1944. By 1993 there was a Senior School Parents’ and Friends Association and a Middle School Parents’ and Friends Association. In 1993, the Friends of the College was established as a separate group.
