Established in 1996, the Lindsay Hassett Cricket Club listed its aims 'to foster the development of cricket at the College by providing the necessary support and resources to ensure future stability and success. The Club is named in honour of the Old Geelong Collegian and former Australian Test Cricketer, Lindsay Hassett (1913–1993). A remarkable sportsman and leader, Lindsay Hassett's school sporting record is unrivalled.'

The inaugral Lindsay Hassett Cricket Club dinner was held in 1997.
