Geography and History courses listed under “Core Subjects” are separate to those listed under “General Electives”.
Chinese, previous knowledge is preferred.
French assumes previous knowledge from Years 7 and 8.
Latin does not presume any previous knowledge.
In the Design and Creative Art electives, numbers are limited for safety reasons. For this reason it may not be possible to meet the first and second preference. Hence, please number all preferences. These courses are 1 semester in length and students will undertake 2 different electives in Year 9.
A Learning Enrichment group may be formed to replace one elective and, if this is considered appropriate, you will be invited in writing by the school. Similarly, EAL students may undertake a course to replace one elective.
Students choosing Music should realise that whilst this elective does not include individual tuition for an instrument, it is assumed that study of an instrument occurs concurrently.
