MOON, Robert Michael (1934-2019)

Robert "Michael" Moon, born 12 July 1934, attended the College kindergarten and before enrolling in 1941. A day student, he became a boarder in 1949, achieving his leaving certificate in 1950. After study and overseas travel, Michael worked as an auditor and dealer. Over 50 years Michael was a keen collector of European and Aboriginal art. During the 1970's to the 1990's Moon collected work from the Western Desert, an area that borders the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Moon has donated works to national, state and regional collections.

Michael passed away 22 October 2019.
